Looking to do something different this week? Indulge your fashionable/cultural side and get yourself down to the Iris van Herpen x United Nude exhibition at their flagship Covent Garden store until February 26th. The exhibition offers the chance to see a collection of seven designs together with a life size hologram displaying one of the designer’s stylish dresses.
Dutch designer Iris van Herpen began her career at Alexander McQueen prior to debuting her first collection in 2007. She also went on design pieces for Bjork, including the dress worn by the singer on her Biophilia album cover, and became a member of the prestigious Chambre syndicale de la Haute Couture. Her first ready to wear collection is due to be launched in Paris in March 2013, designed in conjunction with Canadian singer Grimes.
United Nude first arrived on the fashion scene in 2003 and has gone on to create pieces that combine innovation together with classic design. Founders Rem D Koolhaus and Galahad Clark have seen their brand distributed in more than 40 countries including their flagship stores in London, New York, Amsterdam and Seoul.
